@mightynews: 🇸🇻🇭🇹 EL SALVADOR SENDS MORE THAN 2,000 TROOPS TO HAITI AS SEARCH FOR FOUR MISSING SOLDIERS CONTINUES El Salvador is deploying more than 2,000 soldiers to Haiti in a major military operation aimed at locating four Salvadoran military technicians who disappeared following an ambush by armed gangs on October 18. President Nayib Bukele announced the expanded deployment as tensions continue to rise between Salvadoran forces and powerful Haitian gangs. The four missing technicians were traveling in an armored vehicle near Croix-des-Bouquets, outside Port-au-Prince, when armed attackers ambushed the vehicle and set it on fire. Bukele has warned Haitian gang leaders that his government will respond forcefully if the missing personnel are not returned alive. He also stated that El Salvador is covering approximately 90% of the operation’s expenses. The Haitian government has confirmed cooperation with El Salvador, but questions remain about how the incoming troops will be commanded and whether they will operate entirely under the existing United Nations-backed Gang Suppression Force. The deployment marks a significant expansion of El Salvador’s involvement in Haiti as the country continues struggling with widespread gang violence, kidnappings, and a growing humanitarian crisis. The big question now is whether this operation will successfully recover the missing soldiers and how far the military campaign against Haiti’s gangs could go. #ElSalvador #Haiti #NayibBukele #BreakingNews #MightyNews
