@azkc74: ARIZONA UNDER SIEGE FROM HEAVY RAIN! 🌧️⛈️ The Grand Canyon State is getting absolutely soaked today, Friday, October 30, 2026, as a powerful storm system brings widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and the threat of flash flooding across Arizona! From Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Mesa to Tucson and the higher elevations of northern Arizona, residents are dealing with an unusually wet and stormy end to October. The National Weather Service has issued Flood Watches across portions of the state, with some locations potentially receiving 1 to 2 inches of rain and isolated thunderstorms capable of producing even heavier downpours. Strong wind gusts approaching 60 mph and hail are also possible in the most intense storms. For a state famous for its sunshine and desert heat, today's weather is delivering quite a dramatic change of scenery! Maricopa County, AZ +2 AND ARIZONA ISN'T OUT OF THE WOODS YET! Forecasters are warning that today's storms are only the first round of a potentially significant weather event stretching into Halloween weekend. After a possible break in the rainfall Saturday, another moisture-packed storm system is expected to arrive Saturday night and continue through Sunday, bringing additional heavy rain and increasing the danger of flash flooding. With the ground already saturated, normally dry washes, low-water crossings, and desert roadways could become dangerous very quickly. Some areas of the Valley could receive another 1 to 2 inches of rain Sunday, while higher elevations may experience even greater totals. Residents are encouraged to monitor weather alerts, avoid flooded roadways, and prepare for a soggy Halloween weekend. Arizona's desert landscape is getting a serious soaking, and Mother Nature apparently isn't finished yet! 🌵🌩️ #ArizonaWeather #ArizonaStorms #PhoenixWeather #Scottsdale #MesaArizona https://www.azfamily.com +1
