My wifey has GGE, she had an event which triggered hers too, she’s also not allowed to drive, she also has gotten ignorant comments before, I hope things get easier for you though x

My little sister is 16 and got diagnosed with epilepsy after having her first grand mal at her 12th birthday party. She was so excited to learn how to drive when the time came and then was crushed when she learned she had to be seizure free for a year due to the area of her brain that misfires. She’s had a seizure at least once a week for almost 5 years

I dont have my license because I have ptsd. I was 12 when I saw the car next to us start flipping and coming right at us, I was 12 when I saw a little kid the same age as my baby cousin dead on the side of the road with blood pooling around her. so no I dont have my license I dont ever want it and if I lived some where that I could walk every where to I would.

i stopped driving because my health made it dangerous to, back in 2020 or 2021. i walk or take the bus everywhere now, and i'll keep doing that because i will not risk wrecking another car because i randomly blacked out out of absolutely nowhere

Genuinely, THANK YOU for not driving. I can't truly express how significant that is. My niece and her boyfriend were killed by a guy with epilepsy, who knew he shouldn't be driving but chose to do it anyway.

My husband got into a HORRIBLE accident when we were 19. Very much almost died. My sister was driving (she almost died too) and they flipped the jeep 8 times. He to this day, cannot drive. The PTSD is HORRIFIC if he tries to get behind the wheel. Sometimes, life makes it so you just can't 🥺🤷♀️❤️

My best friend is autistic and has an undiagnosed seizure disorder More in the way that they can't identify why she's having seizures than the fact of they know that she has seizures, In the state of Florida, you have to go a year without a seizure. In order to get your license last I knew so. She will never have her license.

i'm in a similar situation with my older brother! he's also epileptic so i drive him everywhere. a small price to pay to keep not only my family but everyone else safe, and it works out cause i love driving

I remember I danced with a girl who had epilepsy and how excited she was when she went the 90 days without one so she could start driving this just reminded me of that
