I 100% agree. I understand the whole it was Bystedt’s first nhl and all but no. Sorry.

yes he scored two goals but it was literally beast’s first nhl game after waiting four years, he was 100% more deserving of it, he’s been waiting for this moment. will can get it any other time.

100% he deserved to have that jacket. He absolutely should’ve been the player of the game. I understand why Asky gave it to Bystedt, but just because your NHL first game doesn’t mean you’re the player of the game. I’m sorry I know that sounds kind of mean but Will showed up showed out got us on the board. I made it so we were able to win a game last night.

Literally… i felt rlly bad for him when it was given to someone else because he deserves recognition. I know he’s a grown man and it’s not that deep but still. 🫠

I was so confused 😭 Like watching the game their was not a single bit of momentum or want to win until Will scored those goals. Like he may not have single handedly won the game but…

Truly couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that wasn’t player for the game… that game would not have been won if it wasn’t for him

Agree! I mean it’s the little things that are the big things. For team morale he was absolutely the one that brought back the spark for the team and fans last night for the ultimate win 🥇

i saw a million comments on the ig post about how “he will get it eventually” and that we should be thoughtful with bystedt and as much as i’m happy for him smitty is the sole reason we came back from whatever that game was
