@browneyedgurl801: Maya Gebala, the 13-year-old from Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, has finally been released from hospital after 262 days of treatment. Maya was shot three times during the February 10 mass shooting at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School while trying to lock the library door to protect her classmates from the gunman. The attack claimed nine lives, including the shooter, and left dozens more injured. Doctors initially told Maya’s mother she may not survive her first night in hospital. She went on to undergo five major surgeries, including a skull reconstruction using prosthetics. Maya left hospital yesterday, finally able to go home to her family. #News #Hero #fblifestyle
