Before getting married my mom always told me ‘how are you gonna find a husband you cant cook, learn to cook, he will not want to be with you if you cant cook’ etc. and i tolder her ‘excuse why do i both have to work a fulltime job AND cook, if he CANT cook i dont want him it’s not all abouy the mans needs’ it drove me crazy why the hell do I have to suffer to be with a man and mind you my mom was a housewife

Oh just you wait 😂 the hobbies soon become pressuring you to get married, picking faults at your ability to be a husband/wife, needing to know the ins and outs of your marriage and interject at any and every possible moment, pressuring you to have children so they can live their “grandparent dream”, then it’ll move on to criticising your parenting etc. We are literally just milestones for them, every personal achievement has to be for their benefit. It’s frustrating.
