@radfj40: STIHL MS 194 T, a 2022 top handle. It came in because it wouldn't stay running. First thing we found: the wrong fuel filter in the tank. The white one isn't the right part for this saw. Someone cut a corner. Why it matters: a filter that doesn't match can let dirt through to the carb, or starve the saw of fuel. A saw that runs lean runs hot, and lean running is how pistons get scored. Under the covers: a caked air filter, a grass nest packed on the ignition coil, and bar oil and dirt buried around the oil pump. Full service, leak-down test and carb check.
