One of the reasons we face so many employment challenges is that we depend too heavily on the government for job opportunities. For instance, if you study Medical Laboratory Science, you can raise capital and establish your own diagnostic laboratory centre. People can simply walk into your facility to have their laboratory tests done instead of going to hospitals and spending hours in queues. We need to start thinking beyond government employment and explore opportunities to create businesses from the knowledge and skills we acquire.
