@mohameddaud2021: #CapCut Senegalese football star Sadio Mané has used his football earnings to support his hometown of Bambali in Senegal, funding projects focused on religious facilities, children's education and healthcare. After achieving international success, he invested in building a mosque, a modern secondary school and a hospital to improve the lives of people in his community. In 2019, he reportedly contributed around $350,000 to build a school featuring 17 classrooms, giving children in the village better access to education without having to travel elsewhere for further studies. His support also extended to healthcare. In 2021, Mané donated approximately $693,000 to fund the construction of a hospital in Bambali, which was officially inaugurated in June that year. The facility includes maternity care, dental services, emergency facilities and consultation rooms, helping residents access essential medical treatment closer to home. The hospital was designed to serve Bambali and around 34 neighbouring villages. Mané explained that his motivation was deeply personal, recalling that his father had died after the family struggled to find proper medical care because there was no hospital in their village. Alongside these major projects, Mané also helped fund a mosque for the local community and supported families through financial assistance. Reports have stated that he provided each family in Bambali with approximately €70 per month and offered financial rewards to high-performing students to encourage education. His contributions reflect his continued connection to the village where he grew up and his efforts to use the success he achieved through football to support religious life, children's education, healthcare and the wider community. Disclaimer: Based on reporting by CNN, The Guardian and Senegalese media. The reported school and hospital contributions total more than $1 million; the mosque's individual construction cost has not been independently established.
