I think it's a combination of both. over time ppls mannerisms can change based on their environment. if it's sudden, then it's definitely the later, but if it's over time then it's them adjusting to their everyday life

change 💯 … but here no one wanted the changes so it gets reported back as ‘no change’ as fiction … decades pass and you are like ‘change for what?’ and then start thinking it’s best to not have changed at all
