Hey Ron in your expert opinion what would make a mortgage lender not want to refinance your loan

Our incompetent finance minister was bragging we had the highest GDP growth of the G7 last June when he simply annualized Q1 and Q2 results giving the illusion it’s the highest #. Now Q3 and Q4 will be flat if not negative. 🤡🤡

Let’s see? Costs are up. Unemployment is up. GDP is flat. Bankruptcies are up. Average citizens need help. Core inflation isn’t bad at 2.1% yet overall inflation is 3.2%. Inflation is driven by energy costs. Only the government has any control over the costs driving inflation. Government needs to make changes to put more in Canadians pockets. 1) decrease taxes, 2) decrease government spending 3) encourage private sector business. Interest rates should return to 2.25%. May need to lower interest to 2.0% but watch inflation. Lastly do something to increase refineries in Canada and lower energy costs in Canada. Continue to open new markets for Canadian goods.

Alberta petrochemical is rocking! We are hiring young engineers. My son just got promoted in Calgary as an oil and gas engineer; daughter got promoted in Alberta power sports under marketing/social media

Its definitely tough. Ag expenses are though the roof. Prices for commodities are ok, but not up there to cover expenses. Fuel and fertilizer are at all time highs. I have a off farm job, thankfully, to help make ends meet. My boys have taken jobs in the US that give them year round work

At this point, if you’re one of those Canadians who’ve been voting liberal since 2015, I don’t want to hear your complaints.

Elbows up liberals and boomers. Canada doesn’t need a trade deal with the U.S. That 3.4 % GDP growth in the states doesn’t mean a thing.
