Got laid off in May! Took a couple weeks to just let myself feel all the things and “come down” from the constant stress of working. Then I started planning my days as if I had a job - to me that looked like setting goals to update my resume, apply to X amt of jobs, do research on what kind of jobs/companies I actually wanted (also cleaning schedules, working out, “met time” etc). A big one for me was also connecting/catching up with people on LinkedIn, and making sure my profile was up to date. If you’re applying to jobs, there is unfortunately a lot of competition out there right now so networking gives you the advantage! You got this 🩵 don’t forget to give yourself grace and try not to lose sight of all the amazing things you’ve accomplished so far in your career! This doesn’t define you!!
