Korra being blamed for the end of the world is so fitting, she has constantly been handed the hardest decisions and then blamed for making them

Everyone keeps saying Korra ended the past lives, she didn't, the cycle was meant to break and restart a new stronger bond every 10,000 years, every 10,000 years, Raava and Vaatu fight and Raava "wins", allowing a new peace amongst spirits, also Wan, Korra and Kuruk are (to lore knowledge) the only ones that have actually conversed and bonded a lot with Raava compared to other avatars

getinwithmekd :
Korra isn't evil at all, it was completely humanity's fault. She opened the spirit portals for peace, but greedy human corporations started over-harvesting the spirit vines for fuel and factories. They pushed the planet to a nuclear-level spiritual meltdown. Korra only used the Avatar State to violently smash the factories because it was a desperate, last-resort decision to stop a total global extinction event. She sacrificed the old world infrastructure to save what was left of humanity in the Seven Havens, but history books completely twisted her actions and turned her into the villain.
