@tiredbabysleep: A story I haven't shared before 👇 I wanted to share this, because I do not see anyone talking about sensory avoiders, those babies who are sensitive to light, noise, touch, textures! My daughter truly was a great self soother she happily put herself to sleep, she just needed the discomfort removed. As she got older she has shared her challenges, she hates so many textures on her skin. Hates busy shops, loud noises, she hates the taste of toothpaste having her hair brushed! Honestly it was mind blowing for me, to have a baby like this, because my first baby was high sensory, we now know he had adhd. So as a baby he needed insane amount of stimulation, I rocked him heavily for 2 years! I had an incredibly low sleep needs baby, insanely high sensory needs, had zero self soothing abilities And an incredibly high sleep needs baby, who couldn't tolerate most sensory input. I've experienced both sides, this is why when I work with a baby I will always look at them as an individual! If you have my fomo baby guide, 1 go through every sense in detail so you can begin to add or remove stimulation. Including a sensitive baby bedtime routine. DM sleep I’ll send it over #highneedsbaby #velcrobaby #babysleeptips
