My husband developed a perianal abscess while having chemo for leukaemia. In the end it killed him. From the moment I saw your first post I was worried about you. I hope you heal soon and are helping people in the same situation when you are a very old happy man.

This is what transparency looks like. This is what representation looks like. This is what awareness looks like. What you are going through is so horrific that nobody would blame you for not wanting to talk about it. But the fact that you are using something horrible in your life to reach out and help other people, that is part of the best of humanity. Reaching out from a deep dark pit to shine a light to help other others in that pit or prevent others from falling into it is the definition of turning lemons into lemonade, but you aren’t the one drinking it. You should be immensely proud of yourself for how you’re handling such a difficult situation with grace and how you are turning it into something positive ❤️

As a nurse who did these post surgery packings, the pain patients go through is awful, I felt so much for every single one.

just hearing it sounds traumatizing, how come there is no local pain relief for packing the wound ? it sounds like medieval torture
