Yes, imo, it may sound weird bcuz of the Christian angels, but we could rename them with a similar meaning. When I h to ink of angels,no think of beings who protect others, and allies protect the lgbtq from homophobes. While I like angels, maybe spirits, or a something else that also stands for protection could work
