Growing up in Memphis, I was bullied by African Americans just for being African. They looked down on us because our parents had less education, calling us 'African booty scratchers.' But things changed. Today, we are thriving in our own home, while most of those bullies are now dead or in jail, trapped by the very environment they couldn't escape. Ridiculous.

So true. Growing up in Brooklyn in the 80’s early 90’s blk Americans were horrible when it came to bullying other Blks. They would ridicule African kids and Haitians. They never messed too much with the Jamaican kids because they didn’t go for that and would fight. It was terrible.
