You know Christie, I didn't even know that healing still goes on for a while after leaving. I guess there are stages to this, just reinventing while keeping things moving. But this stage is certainly better than what we've all had to deal with before😅. It's interesting how we still need to unlearn and relearn patterns that we didn't even know were there. It might be a bit messy, but I often look back at the times where I didn't even know what was going on and I was trapped in this invisible mental cage that I didn't even know I was in....that's the real scary part. I'd rather be in the storm and fight rather than being helpless as things were before gaining awareness. So I am happy to see you moving...moving tired, but moving nonetheless. You're doing great👏 I know this because you've helped me...and there was a time before your content when I was lost...so thank you and you're welcome😁🔥 Now let's keep winning! We've made it this far.

You just hit my FYP this morning. Your words and experience could not hit closer to home unless you were living my life. It's been a long journey and I am beyond tired. I keep putting one foot in front of the other trying to get to the other side but the end post keeps moving. You are a ray of sunshine but this healing journey has stripped EVERYTHING from me and I am at the bottom.

Oooh my our stories are SO similar! the biggest difference being, I did not leave the marriage, and my health deteriorated beyond my control to the point of disability, and now I can't leave (yet, trying to figure that out). LADIES, LISTEN!!! Choosing yourself is not a failure you are all you have when everything falls apart.

Healing never stops, it continues even throughout the good days that feel meaningful, where the contrast reveals between the moment you hit rock bottom and the several attempts to climb back up.. learning every single detail of the path and being grateful every time you reach a new checkpoint (that was once just a normal blessing to us one day).. I had gone weeks without food, still attending work and simply being me. Pain is a portal and a mentor, a signal that reminds you where you need to walk.. until things start to make more sense.
