Im betting they relied on the area forecast that called for a few inches of light snow and not the mountain forecast that called for 1-2 feet.

We have a Polaroid from July 1977 (I think, maybe ‘76) in Leadville, where will lived & it was a blizzard w/ 5’ of snow. Leadville is no joke.

This happens so many times during the colder months. It can even snow in July in Colorado. So incredibly sad.
