I don't think Eddie and Maddie are in a position where a betrayal, an "et tu?" moment if you will, would be possible. They don't have enough of an established trusting relationship. If Maddie spilled a secret of Eddie's, that would kinda suck, but not enough to feel personally wounded like you would from a lover, a friend youve had since childhood (or, let's say, 8,5 years) , or a sibling. Maddie could absolutely snitch, but I don't think that's would be the Brutus to Eddie's Caesar.
