Wax figure for sure. Also it’s not possible to preserve a body to that degree.

This reminds me of that woman who recognised her son in that museum display and wanted DNA testing to prove it was his body and I’m pretty sure they refused.

The eyes freaked me out so bad when you showed the close up. I literally covered it when the hand because I couldn’t hide in the comments. Sent a chill down my spine.

(UPDATE) a few years ago they aparenty took her so they could investigate her and because they were doing some remodeling in the store and when she came back it looked like they replaced her, rumors say that she in fact was a corpse, and i think that she isn’t in display anymore (i’m a Chihuahua citizen)

There's another story of a mannequin being a real body I think in France.. Young black male model, started working for Balenciaga (I think) and went missing then the mannequin showed up looking spot on to the missing model

No matter how many times I hear this story, it never gets old! Or less mysterious

It’s an old model from Madame Tussaud’s, maybe she was not the most photographed wax figures so they sell her out for new waxes for display.

Why in the world would they think that her dress could give good luck? She died and missed her own wedding. If anything you would think she would curse brides.

This reminds me so much of the Movie Mannequin! I wonder if her story was the inspiration for that movie.?

Humans are incredibly hard to preserve even under the best circumstances. She was in a hot sitter window. It’s a very realistic mannequin. AskAMortician on YT did a really great video on her.

Veins collapse upon death or blood pressure reaches zero. You wouldn’t be able to see those on a cadaver.
