@ghostincome.hq: Sam Altman says the RAM in your PC is "quite terrible." On the Cheeky Pint podcast he said everybody keeping the world's limited DRAM in their own computer, used 5% of the time, is a bad use of supply, and it belongs in the cloud. In October 2025 OpenAI signed letters of intent with Samsung and SK hynix for up to 900,000 DRAM wafers a month, about 40% of global output by Tom's Hardware's estimate. The deals are non-binding, but RAM prices have soared since, and Apple blames AI data centers. Footage from Cheeky Pint, Linus Tech Tips, YTN and Business Insider. Should your RAM go to his data centers? #samaltman #openai #ram #ramprices #dram #pcgaming #gamingpc #pcbuild #technews #ai

Does anyone actually use Ai for anything? I don't. I don't really know anyone who does.

I think from a global allocation perspective its quite terrible for a miniscule percentage of the population to have such extreme wealth which sits unused. Instead it should be distributed so 100% of it is being used as opposed to 5% or less.

So many people coming have built new computers or upgraded their current computers but they built data centers in towns that didn't want them.

I think quite terrible that most of the world’s limited wealth is in a handful of oligarchs portfolios.

Yes it’s quite terrible when I can’t buy up all the limited resources and then rent them back to you for a profit lol. Terrible for who?

I feel so bad for him. He should propose a RAM buyback program! I’ll be first in line with my 64gb.

World's demand for ai? No. The world doesn't have a demand for ai, we have ai being forced on us whether we want it or not. Ai companies should be forced to pay x2-x3 the cost of ram that general consumers pay.

"serve the whole world demand for AI"
look pal. I could care less about someone's need for ram in Africa. My need for RAM in my own house, in America, is more important to me.
