He technically is not but generally he is. The show he and ziyu was in was illegal to stream in china so any views from china for the show was technically illegal. The reason why no one is dare to cast them in projects despite their popularity is because no one knows what would happen to their career later on, while for a drama to air in china takes more than a year (aka if they get blacklist after a drama was filmed- wasting money). Also if they join a drama, the drama might not be aired just because they are in it. Tian xu ning did tried to join a drama as a third tier male character, however idk what happened to that whole thing. They each still have a lot of short-term endorsements or can join music festivals and have commercial value, tho that's all that they can do. Both actors have been exposed for many scandals, especially Tian Xu Ning so the public generally don't like them. In short, they are not publicly banned, but they are.
