Why not just scoop out the potatoes that are cooked that way you can just add the new potatoes into the pot and not have to boil water from the start again?

Boil the potatoes with the skin on, it’s easy to peel off once they’re cooked.

See my adhd is like yea that’s a great idea until I start peeling my brain is over it and I’m stuck with half my potatoes peeled and a mental breakdown when I just make a butt load of mashed potatoes. [Tears of joy]
