@browneyedgurl801: 🚩 POLICE SAY AN OFFICER LOST DRUG EVIDENCE — THEN TRIED TO REPLACE IT WITH DR**S TAKEN FROM A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSON. 🚩 Two San Jose police officers are now facing felony charges over what prosecutors describe as an evidence cover-up. Officer Raydarius Surry, 29, and Officer Destiney Thompson, 30, were arrested October 28. Investigators say the problem started with a May 3 arrest, when Surry reported seizing a small bag of suspected dr**s. Months later, the department realized that evidence had never been properly booked. According to investigators, Surry was told the dr**s were missing. Then came August 12. Police say Surry stopped an unrelated pedestrian and found another small bag of suspected dr**s. Instead of documenting that stop normally, investigators allege he seized the dr**s, took no enforcement action against that person, and then booked the new bag under the May case number. Prosecutors say the paperwork falsely made it appear those dr**s came from the original suspect. And investigators allege Thompson, who is romantically involved with Surry, accessed body-camera footage from the May arrest to help him figure out how to make the replacement evidence look believable. Both officers are charged with two felonies tied to altering or manufacturing evidence and filing a false police report. They each reportedly posted $100,000 bail and are no longer in custody. Both remain employed by SJPD but are on paid administrative leave while the criminal and internal investigations continue. SJPD says it reviewed their other arrests and evidence bookings and did not find additional similar discrepancies. #truecrime #crimenews #truecrimenews #truecrimecommunity
