@theprimefamilies: No parent should have to live with this kind of fear. Imagine sending your child to school in the morning, expecting them to return home safely, only to receive a phone call minutes later telling you that your child was killed and never going to make it home. I cannot imagine the pain that family is going through. What broke me even more was seeing his shoes and belongings being collected from the place where he was shot and placed into a bag. That image brought tears to my eyes. It truly broke my heart. Our children deserve to live, learn, grow, and feel safe in their communities. They deserve freedom, protection, and the opportunity to enjoy their childhood without fear of violence.
