people need to understand that for almost half a year, we heavily pour SALT on the streets so that we don't break any bones... then snow and ice melts and mixes with that salt and it gets SO MESSY!! everyone's shoes/boots have a cute salt ring on them.. so uhmm yeahhh.. NO I will not ruin my floors and shoes will be off the second i get home.. and why would we even change our ways for the second half of the year!? 😭 montreal winters are hard! let us be 🫠

If we don’t take them off at the door then there will be slush and puddles everywhere. Then salt stains all over from the slush. It’s not just that outside is dirty. It’s that for a large part of the year there is snow aka slush outside that you don’t want in your interior.

Most do yes. My SIL got in trouble for wearing shoes in her mother's house while visiting from Denver. My husband and I heard about it even though we weren't there when it happened. 😅

Yes lol… I was actually amazed parents last night at my kids soccer didn’t take there muddy shoes off before coming into the gymnasium… I made myself and kids take our shoes off… doctors off, dentist, etc really anywhere that looks like it should be a standard

I just couldn't fathom walking through a home with shoes on , like wtf do you mean your outside shoes are now in the laundry room , YUCK lol I even wipe my dogs paws off when she comes in !
