SubhanAllah, even our private lives have beautiful Sunnahs. 🥹🤍 Before intimacy, the Prophet ﷺ taught us to say: “بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ جَنِّبْنَا الشَّيْطَانَ، وَجَنِّبِ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنَا” “In the name of Allah. O Allah, keep Shaytan away from us and keep Shaytan away from what You bless us with.” This du’a is a means of protection and blessing for the couple and any child Allah may grant them through that intimacy. 📚 Sahih al-Bukhari 6388 Intimacy between spouses, when done in a halal way and with a sincere intention to preserve chastity, show love, and fulfil one another’s rights, can be rewarded as an act of charity. The Prophet ﷺ said that even in fulfilling one’s desire lawfully, there is reward. 📚 Sahih Muslim If a couple wishes to be intimate again, performing wudu between acts is recommended. The Prophet ﷺ said: “When one of you has intercourse with his wife and then wishes to repeat it, let him perform wudu between them.” This wudu brings cleanliness, refreshment, and renewed readiness, and it is a beautiful Sunnah to observe between intimacy. 📚 Sahih Muslim 308 May Allah bless our marriages, protect our homes, place love and mercy between spouses, and make our private lives a means of drawing closer to Him.
