31 Days 31 Anime That Are Actually Peak But Forgotten. TITLE: SCP: Gallionic. GENRE: Horror Sci-Fi Thriller Interesting Fact: SCP: Gallionic is an independent animated short set within the SCP Foundation universe, the sprawling online collaborative horror archive centered on a secret organization tasked with containing anomalous and paranormal threats to protect humanity. Created by the small Dutch studio SOEM Studios, the story follows the aftermath of a catastrophic containment breach through the eyes of Matthew Vestergaard, an accountant working on the outskirts of the facility, while the events leading up to the disaster are shown through his older sister Jane, a researcher increasingly alarmed that breaches have become disturbingly routine. As Matthew ventures into the ruined facility to find his sister, the story explores themes of control, both over one's environment and over oneself, set against a massive, Evangelion-esque facility that feels as oppressive as it does mysterious. What makes it stand out is the scale of ambition behind it, a passion project years in the making that raised over 281,000 euros from more than 6,200 backers on Kickstarter, proving just how much appetite there is for a serious, cinematic take on SCP lore. The animation and world design lean heavily into dread and atmosphere rather than jump scares, treating the Foundation's horror as something rooted in bureaucracy, apathy, and the quiet failures that lead to catastrophe. With striking art direction, a genuinely intriguing premise, and a fanbase already treating it as a landmark moment for SCP adaptations, SCP: Gallionic is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated indie animated projects most anime fans still haven't heard of. #animeedit #scpgallionic #scpfoundation #gelionic #viral
