Megs couldn't withstand the pressure there and there wouldn't even be enough food to sustain their huge bodies so they're definitely extinct

the meg lived in shallow water, and if it evolved to become adapted to deep waters, it wouldve evolved into a different animal at this point in time.

humans have only explored 5% of the ocean

the meg lived in warm shallow oceans. can’t handle deep pressure like the mariana. most of the ocean has been mapped, but in terms of human expeditions only a few areas and most of the surface have been explored. research.

the thing is the megalodon, because of its size, moves really really slow and back ehen he existed, most of his prey wouldn't even move much so it would be easy for him to eat. Today, fish, sharks, etc. are really fast therefore the megalodon wouldn't have a reliable food source so this os why we assume it's extinct

Theres not enough food to support a megaladons diet

There is 95% of the ocean still not explored so there could be mermaids for all we know

So megs would only be like 60 feet (im pretty sure) with newer evidence found and the whale shark on the bigger side is 60 feet. Also there were different types of whales that were higher predators than the Meg and would hunt megs. And if there was only one Meg it would of not been able to reproduce and died off regardless of food and whatever

It was a surface predator, not deep sea. Because there was fewer food cuz of global cooling and the great white shark was faster in snatching up all the same food the Meg was eating, so it eventually died to starvation. So temperature, competition and lack of food

Because of his size he suppose to eat a looot of food at day and that’s why they started to disappear

meg extinct as hell, they would die from starvation, i mean maybe they could eat sperm whales since they dive so far down but even so the pressure is to much for them

Megs were nearly 80 foot long, they weighed around 94 tons, and their teeth alone was 5-7 inches long it literally can’t exist without humans knowing one Meg needs MASSIVE amounts of fish and food to survive the bottom of the ocean simply does not have the nutrients to support one megalodon let alone a whole colony, megs also can’t survive there because of temperature and pressure a meg is a warm water species it would die off from the cold if not the lack of food seriously it’s not that hard to do research
