Lizzie simply wouldn’t be Lizzie if she WASN’T mean. i also have noticed when people do have conversations about how she is genuinely cruel, others feel the need to bring up everything she’s gone through and that theres reason to why she acts that way. when we all know!!! everyone knows!!! it is hard to IGNORE Lizzie went through some shit. it’s even harder to ignore that she is genuinely mean when you see her that way throughout… well!!! every single book! unintentionally, people are sort of giving into that rhetoric about… perfect victims and such? because you can acknowledge she is a victim but suddenly feel the need to BRING UP her trauma in conversations about her wrongful actions. she is a victim, whilst still being a bully!!! yes she went through so much which shaped her into who she is she wouldn’t be this way if she didn’t go through those things we know we know!!! doesn’t justify or excuse her actions & using it as an explanation hardly ever suddenly makes people believe how she acts is okay! the books say it plenty of times.
