Wouldn’t panic just yet. 6 games in and the Lakers haven’t looked bad at all. I actually think the roster is pretty well built with the exception of not having a legitimate backup big. We’re also missing Carr and Theiro who i think will both be key contributors to this team. My biggest concerns outside of not having a backup big is how quickly this team can blow a large lead and go ice cold from the floor. Both losses we were winning for most of the game and even had a double digit lead. Rebounding has also been a problem. Kessler is the only rebounder we have in the starting lineup. This is part of us not having a true PF who can play defense and rebound. Zaire has been great but he’s probably more of a SF than a PF. I think Theiro could be the in house answer to our PF needs. Lastly i think JJ has to do a better job with rotations and running the offense. Sexton and Grimes have been known to be dynamic scorers who can also defend for their whole careers! I think it’s hard for them to get in a real groove when they’re in with Luka. I think Sexton and Grimes are both good enough to handle the load in the 2nd unit. I don’t think Luka and Reaves should be playing the whole or most of the 1st quarter. Especially when we’re up big in the first. Take Luka and Reaves out earlier and let sexton, grimes, and mamu hold the fort down a bit. At least let them get in a groove without Luka being on the court.

Because they hunt him down on the defensive end. He may score 30 but if he gives up 15 on defense then his impact is minimized. They kept setting screens so Steph could cook him over and over
