Romance scams destroy more than bank accounts; they destroy trust, confidence, families, dreams, and sometimes people’s will to live. I was once a victim, and I understand the shame, heartbreak, sleepless nights, and loneliness that come with being deceived by someone you genuinely believed loved you. But I refuse to let my experience be wasted. My mission on TikTok is to create awareness about romance scams, educate people about scammers’ tricks, encourage victims to speak up, and guide those who have lost money on how to report their cases to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). Please don’t suffer in silence. Gather your evidence, including conversations, emails, phone numbers, payment receipts, and transaction records, and report your case.
