My heart is broken for the family of young Javits Frimpong, whose life was tragically cut short in the Bronx, New York, while on his way to school. When one African child loses their life in such heartbreaking circumstances, an entire continent feels the pain. The African community mourns, the Black community mourns, and humanity should mourn. Every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, dream and fulfil their God-given potential. We cannot allow tragedies like this to become just another headline. We must come together, raise awareness and take greater responsibility for the safety, wellbeing and future of our young people. As people of faith, let us also recognise the importance of prayer. We need more prayer warriors, more intercessors and more people standing together in faith for our families and communities. Let us be proactive rather than reactive, showing love, support and care before another tragedy strikes.
