A US solider has been accused of sh00ting d3ad his newlywed wife & stashing her body in a storm drain near their home in Anchorage, Alaska. Zarrius Hildabrand, 21, was charged with first-degree murd3r & tampering with evidence after kill*ng his wife Saria Hildabrand, also 21. She di3d from a single bullet to her left temple. The young couple had met at basic training last summer & were married in December 2022. Saria was a combat medic for the Alaska National Guard & she moved from Utah to Alaska to be with her new husband 6 months ago. Hildabrand is now being held on $500,000 bond after investigators found a bl00d-soaked mattress in their home & they located her d3ad body in a storm drain. He is a cannon crewmember assigned to the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team. Saria was remembered as an 'amazing young woman,' & her mother Meredith Barney said that her husband lied & walked around for hours searching for Saria knowing that she was d3ad. Neighbors allegedly heard a gunshot at 2.45am on Sunday, August 6 - just 45 minutes after the couple got home from celebrating the husband's birthday. Hildabrand told investigators his wife walked to work the next morning & left her phone at home. He stayed at home all day & only realized she was missing when he went to pick her up at 7pm. But her friends say she didn't plan to work that day. A text was sent from her phone to co-workers at 10.45am Sunday, saying she was calling off work. Hildabrand denies sending he text. The husband only contacted police 36 hours after Saria was last seen. When police interviewed Hildabrand, they found 2 pist0ls on the kitchen table, 1 which was fully loaded & another missing a single bullet. The bed in their home was covered by a mattress pad with a package of new sheets nearby & the husband refused to let police examine it. Police noted that Hildabrand purchased a set of sheets matching the brand found at the apartment, a mattress cover, a 96-gallon garbage can, hydrogen peroxide & an empty spray bottle August 6. When detectives executed a search warrant, they found the mattress saturated by human bl00d which had soaked through the carpet. They said clean up attempts were made, after finding bl00d in the bathtub & floors. The garbage can that Hildabrand bought was found on a trail near their apartment. Saria's d3ad body was found stashed in the storm drain thanks to drone footage of the area taken during the investigation.
