@ambmaryben_omollo: 10 signs you're not the toxic one, you're the victim of a toxic relationship. 1. You constantly question yourself. You replay conversations, wondering whether you said something wrong or whether you're the reason everything keeps going wrong. 2. You apologise even when you've been hurt. Somehow, every disagreement ends with you saying sorry just to restore peace. 3. You've become afraid of expressing your feelings. You keep quiet because you know that speaking up will lead to arguments, blame, or emotional punishment. 4. You walk on eggshells around them. You carefully choose your words, monitor their moods, and adjust your behaviour to avoid triggering their reactions. 5. You no longer recognise yourself. You used to be confident, happy, and outspoken, but now you constantly doubt your decisions and abilities. 6. You feel guilty for setting boundaries. Whenever you say no, you're made to feel selfish, disrespectful, or ungrateful. 7. You keep explaining yourself but never feel understood. Your words are twisted, your intentions questioned, and your feelings dismissed. 8. You've started isolating yourself. You avoid telling friends and family what's happening because you're afraid they won't understand or you'll be judged. 9. You feel emotionally exhausted all the time. Even when nothing is happening, you're anxious, anticipating the next argument or disappointment. 10. You keep taking responsibility for someone else's behaviour. You convince yourself that if you become more patient, loving, understanding, or accommodating, they will finally treat you better. Here's something worth remembering: Being in a toxic relationship can make you start displaying behaviours you never had before. You may become defensive, anxious, withdrawn, or even angry. That doesn't automatically make you the toxic person. However, being hurt doesn't mean you cannot also take responsibility for your own actions. Healthy relationships allow both people to express themselves, make mistakes, take accountability, and grow without fear of emotional punishment. **You don't have to keep losing yourself to prove that you are capable of loving someone.** #ToxicRelationships #EmotionalAbuse #MentalHealthAwareness #RelationshipHealing #SelfWorth
