A retired U.S. Army staff sergeant was fatally shot outside a Florida Walmart after an argument over a parking space escalated, according to investigators. Authorities say Bart Diguglielmo, 62, became involved in a verbal dispute with a woman in a Walmart parking lot in North Lauderdale on Tuesday. During the confrontation, the woman allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired one shot, striking Diguglielmo. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died. The woman told investigators she acted in self-defense. Video circulating online appears to show the two arguing before the shooting. Prosecutors are reviewing the case, and no charges have been announced at this time. Diguglielmo, a New Jersey native, was a retired Army Staff Sergeant, Desert Storm veteran, and former nurse.
