@govilnius: On November 2nd, Vėlinės, or All Souls’ Day, Lithuanians believe the veil between our world and the afterlife grows thin. Our ancestors return to be with the living. Fire has always been the heart of this tradition. It’s said to connect the ancestors with their families, and to light the way so the souls can find their path home.
