@nurse_jyville: 🚨 ATTENTION ALL UK NURSES! 🇬🇧🩺 The NMC is reviewing its revalidation process, and proposed changes could affect nurses across the UK! Some of the areas being considered include: 🔹 Changes to the role of revalidation confirmers. 🔹 More verification checks. 🔹 Changes to reflective discussions. 🔹 A proposed extension of up to 12 weeks in certain circumstances. 🔹 A review of the NMC Code. ⚠️ These are proposed changes, NOT all confirmed new rules. For now, continue following the existing revalidation requirements. As nurses, we need to stay informed because revalidation is part of maintaining our professional registration. Let’s talk! 👇 Do you think the NMC revalidation process needs changing? Are the proposed changes going to make things easier or more stressful for nurses? Share your thoughts in the comments. Let’s educate and support one another! ❤️ #UKNurses #NMC #NMCRevalidation #NursingTikTok #NursesOfTikTok
I didn’t revalidate after 35 years of nursing after being off sick for almost a year. I’m going back as a band 3 just to protect my pension

If I could go back in my life, I would NEVER have become a nurse. I love the job, but the political side, and wages are just not worth the hassle. The NMC is a money making machine.

Is this really what our fees do! Paper and rule shuffling. We need our professional body to fight for us to have better staffing, guaranteed employment for newly qualified, ensure 6 to 8 patients per nurse, fully functioning equipment, a nurse in charge B6 on every shift who is not allocated patients

An increase in fees, and increasing requirements in revalidation makes nursing no longer viable as a career.

who's got time for this?!
we pay them enough money to police us the least they can do is do the revalidation for us while we work ourselves into an early grave on sh1t pay with no staff!

Instead of changing revalidation rules, codes etc. The NMC beef to get behind its nurses , change working conditions sone nurses are alone to care for 20, 30 , 40 plus patients, during a shift, yes they have care staff but overall they are responsible for the care of all. Where is their support from this massive organisation. Why should a nurse have to be held to ransomed if you don’t pay you can’t work. What actually does the NMC do for nurses .

We as professional nurses need to take action against this waste of time organisation, we have the power and need to stop being a passive organisation.
Stand together, and challenge them ,if not stop moaning pay up and do everything they say to revalidation.
