So I’ve not done a post in a while… but I’ve been on Elvanse since January & have recently moved up to 50mg. For a few reasons including anxiety (I’ll do a video on this at some point) I’ve been advised to come off it to see how I’ve felt. It’s now been 7 days and I feel shocking, I have 0 motivation, I’m tired, fluy and I’m missing my little helper! My specialist has advised it might be worth trying Concerta XL to see how my body reacts to a different stimulant but I’m scared stiff! I’ve been so lucky with Elvanse and had very minimal side effects when starting and apart from a few 100/110 resting heart rates my BP hasn’t been raised. I’ve heard the following things on Concerta and whilst I want to try it to compare, my concerns are: - Anxiety, already struggling with it, don’t need it more - irritability: I’ve found I have this on Elvanse but it’s not been major - depression - Palpitations (this is what scares me most) What are people’s experiences with concerta? Has anyone like me transitioned from Elvanse to Concerta and it’s been smooth? I ofcourse know it’s trial and error 🙈 #adhdmedication #adhdcommunity #adhdtips #elvanse #adhdadult
