Make bullying illegal. I don’t care how young a child is; there need to be real consequences when someone repeatedly victimizes another person. If a child can face serious legal consequences for murdering their own family, then we need to take bullying just as seriously before it escalates to something tragic. No child should have to suffer in silence, fear going to school, or carry the trauma of being bullied for the rest of their life. We need to stop waiting until a child takes their own life or someone gets seriously hurt before we take action. Protect the victims, hold bullies accountable, and make schools safe for every child.
