Y’all really think it’s cute to take someone’s picture, pass it around, and make fun of their body? Then go about your day making videos, going LIVE, smiling in everybody’s faces, and acting like you haven’t done a damn thing wrong? But you DID. And what you did was hurtful, cruel, and downright disgusting. I genuinely hope you aren’t teaching your daughters and granddaughters that this is how grown women are supposed to treat other women. And to the women you call your “friends” who may be bigger than you, I hope they’re paying attention. Because if you can sit around and laugh at MY body, what makes them think you aren’t laughing at theirs when they’re not around? Y’all ain’t shit, but your hearts sure are. And let me tell you something else. You definitely picked the right ONE to take a picture of. Because I’m not going to sit here and pretend it didn’t hurt me. It DID. You almost made this space uncomfortable for me. You almost made me question whether I wanted to show my face on here again. You almost made me walk away from something I genuinely enjoy and from people I’ve grown to love. You almost won. But here’s the thing about ALMOST… ALMOST DOESN’T COUNT. I’m still here. I’m still showing my face. I’m still going LIVE. And I’m still going to be unapologetically ME. You can laugh at my weight all you want, but I’d rather carry a little extra weight on my body than carry that much ugliness in my heart. And the saddest part? Y’all are grown women who should know better. You didn’t embarrass me. You exposed yourselves. & P.s Hormones can affect your skin, your weight, and your body. Maybe before we make somebody else’s appearance the punchline, we should remember that the same grace you expect for your insecurities is the grace you should’ve extended to mine. So yea Hormones may explain your skin, sweetheart, but what’s your excuse for that ugly behavior? 💋
