So many collisions have gone unpunished this year, including in sprints and races, yet suddenly, when Max is involved, the standard punishment goes from a warning to a grid drop? This is almost as bizarre as Qatar 2024 (still pissed off about that one). And why punish BOTH drivers when it’s usually one or neither? They both acknowledged in the stewards’ room that it was clumsy and shouldn’t have happened, so why hand out grid penalties for a practice incident? They openly admitted they wanted to make an example out of Max, but just like Saudi 2024 and that ridiculous community service penalty for swearing, they won’t enforce this standard consistently for other drivers. It feels targeted

FIA has been really silly sausages with their application of penalties, do they ask a magic 8 ball, flip a coin heads a penalty, tails no penalty? I wanna become a fly on the wall to see why the penalties have been quite arbitrary this year.
