The first thing I would say I did to transition my lifestyle is confess Romans 10:9. Confessing that Jesus is Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. That was first for me. After that, I started surrounding myself with people of God and saturating myself with the Word. I’m in the women’s group I always tell y’all about, I watched Bible stories on YouTube, and one of the leaders in our ministry, @Jesusbaby used to go live and do teachings, so I would watch her lives too ( I was around her ALOT, taught me everything I know ) I really just surrounded myself with all things Christ. Our ministry fasted a lot, and I was surrounded by women who were always praying, so prayer started becoming one of the main things that changed about me. I prayed a lot, and I still do. Even music was a process. I loved R&B and love songs, so at first I found Christian R&B artists with a similar sound, and as I grew closer to God, I started listening to more worship and gospel because I wanted to get into His presence. It didn’t all change overnight. I started seeing God answer prayers and seeing how real He was. The closer I got to Him, the more I fell in love with Him and wanted to know Him for Him, not just for what He could do for me. I was also very honest with God about my struggles. I would tell Him, “Lord, help me. Remove every desire in me that is not of You.” In the beginning, I almost looked at my relationship with God like dating. When you’re getting to know somebody, you learn what they like, what they don’t like, and who they are. That’s how I started learning God’s character and what pleases Him, through his word and spending time with him . I really can’t give you a perfect list of steps because everybody’s walk won’t look the same. Just let it happen naturally. Give your life to Jesus, talk to God, pray, read, learn Him, ask Him to fill you with the Holy Spirit and help you flow with His Holy Spirit. Just vibe with God for real 💓Let the relationship grow naturally, genuinely, and in your own way.
