If you are still scooping litter every day, you seriously do not know what you are missing 👀 After using a self cleaning litter box, I genuinely could not go back to manually scooping every day. This is the Petome open top automatic litter box, and it automatically separates the dirty litter after each visit and moves it into the huge 14 litre waste bin underneath. It is especially useful if you have multiple cats because the litter tray can clean between visits, rather than you constantly trying to keep on top of it yourself. I have owned both enclosed and open top automatic cat litter boxes, and I definitely prefer the open top design. My two cats actually outgrew our enclosed model, whereas this one gives larger cats and breeds such as Maine Coons much more room without anything directly above their heads. The smart litter box app lets you monitor your cat’s weight, see how often they use the toilet and choose how long the machine waits before starting its cleaning cycle. It also has manual controls, weight sensors and motion sensors that stop the cycle if your cat approaches or jumps back inside. Cleaning the automatic litter tray is much easier than I expected too. It can empty all of the remaining litter into the bottom tray, then the entire drum and removable liner can be taken out and rinsed down. I give mine a proper deep clean around once a month. It also comes with bin bags, a litter mat and a deodoriser, so you have everything you need to get started.
