@science.nature: In August 2024, Miami's own Pitbull agreed to pay Florida International University $1.2 million a year for five years, $6 million in total, for the naming rights to its football stadium. It became Pitbull Stadium. CBS Sports reported it was believed to be the first naming-rights deal of its kind between a musician and a football stadium. The deal also gives him 10 days a year to use the stadium for events. Instead of a corporation's logo, his hometown stadium carries his name. Would you put your money behind your hometown?
