Beautiful vows. I wonder, though, whether the Goddess before whom you made them might also dwell within the one making them. The alchemical marriage of inner polarities, the masculine and feminine meeting within oneself, each transforming the other. Perhaps the knight and the beloved are not only figures standing across from one another, but aspects of ourselves learning to meet. And perhaps the sacred marriage begins there, allowing us to encounter another as a whole person rather than asking them to complete what we have yet to discover within ourselves. Just a thought offered in wonder.
