Unforseen Consequences :
Under Terry v. Ohio (1968), police may briefly detain someone when they have specific, objective facts supporting a reasonable suspicion that criminal activity is occurring, has occurred, or is about to occur. That requires more than a hunch. For example: Not sufficient by itself: "You look suspicious." Not sufficient by itself: "We don't recognize you around here." Not sufficient by itself: "We're checking to see whether you've committed a crime." Potentially sufficient: "Someone matching your description was just seen attempting to break into a vehicle on this street." Notice the difference.

Terry V Ohio clearly states law-enforcement must have reasonable articulable suspicion of a crime. For some reason, the only people that don’t know the law are the men and women that are meant to enforce it.

you have the right to talk to anybody without reasonable suspicion. but they can also refuse the right to talk to you just because you find something suspicious that doesn't mean there's a crime being committed and you can ask all you want. but once they say no anything after that is harassment, you must you must have reasonable suspicion. a crime has occurred. just because you've never seen a car parked here before, that doesn't give you any authority. you can roll over and ask all the questions you want. if they don't want to answer them they don't have to. they're not law free required to answer them

These cops need to start being held accountable for their ignorance not protected it’s sickening the police department and prosecutors protect these cops instead of holding them accountable if they was held accountable the people might start trusting the police again because as of right now the police can’t be trusted or respected because they’re never held accountable the police are completely ignorant to the law

well thank God the world doesn't run by your point of view.. and no, just because you're a police officer, you don't have the authority to make her answer your questions. she doesn't have to insist you when your investigation. she hasn't committed a crime. you can't articulate a crime suspicion's not a crime

From what I see and hear is that they (victims) need to file Fedral Criminal Charges Title 18 242 Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law and a law suit and lien to follow.

They can and will lie to you until they get caught. Then even if they do get caught they investigate themselves. That’s on the streets, in depositions, and trials. The sad part is most of them really believe their own lies. Once you push back those fragile egos go straight to threats of arrest to ascertain compliance.
