By far the darkest end to a season in the whole series. Which says a lot in a series that ended once with a main characters (temporary) death, a main characters poisoning. An antagonist murder suicide. And still, this takes the crown for being hard hitting and DARK

Thinking about it now – especially the episode where she demonstrates her skills to the White Lotus – it’s striking how they point out her lack of stability in her earthbending stance. And she’s the Avatar from the earth element itself, which is supposed to embody stability. Being abandoned by her family must have completely undermined her deep inside even if she forget regarding what happened.
