@drwendy_physicaltherapy: How many push-ups should you be able to do? I’m 46 and I never thought about push-ups except for fitness tests in college. The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) push-up norms say 11 to 14 push-ups is "good" fitness for women my age. The catch is that the women's standard is based on modified push-ups from the knees. The men's standard uses full push-ups from the toes. I am a struggle bus with my form in this video, but here’s what I need real women to know… You never know if you can do it if you don’t try. You probably won’t do it pretty or correctly in the beginning. My form is rough, but I’m also trying. That’s where I think I shine. I try. I show up as a normal mortal on the internet. Push-ups and all the modifications are great I think for our strength, but it also loads our forearms. The forearm is the first bone women fracture with the postmenopause osteoporosis situation. So have you tried a push-up lately? Could you try it on the wall? Could you try it on the counter? Could you would you give it a try?
